A few notes: you don't have to use a vanilla bean, and you can increase the amount of spices if you prefer. We like to taste more apple, with the spice as an accent, but feel free to change the recipe according to your own tastes. Use good butter for the crust! It matters.Wednesday, October 28, 2009
